November 2022 Sewing Plans
This month I am going to try and finish some unfinished projects and focus on some spring/summer wardrobe staples.
Reggie Wrap Dress
My first project is going to be a wrap dress for #sewwrapped sewing challenge on Instagram. I have some beautiful linen which I have dyed a dark purple that I think will be perfect for this project. I am going to use the Reggie Wrap Dress pattern by Seamwork which I used for my Halloween costume this year.
Steele Pinafore
I am also desperate to make the Steele Pinafore from Elbe textiles. This looks so absolutely perfect for my style and wardrobe, I've even cut out the pattern already, but somehow something else always comes up and it gets pushed back. Hopefully this month I can find the time!
Moon Print T-Shirt Dress
This project is a stash buster but also a chance to try out the Helens Closet Dawson Top. I plan to hack the top and add a skirt to it to make an easy summer skater style dress. I am going to use a printed jersey I have had in my stash for probably 2 years so it's time to finally give it a purpose.
Hexagon Quilt
I desperately need to finish my daughter's hexi quilt. I have been working on this for nearly a year now and I am not even close to being done. I had always planned for it to be a slow sew as it's 100% hand sewn but it's starting to feel like a burden instead of a lovely project to come back to between big makes. I don't think I'll actually finish it but hopefully if it's on the list I will prioritize it.
3D camping pot holder
I have been planning this make since March but still haven't found the time, it looks like so much fun and I have the heat resistant wadding ready to go but I haven't managed to do it, yet... if you want a tutorial for this patchwork and poodles has a great one here.
Patchwork Shirt
I am totally jumping on this bandwagon for my Ruby Star Society mushroom fabric and making a patchwork Gilbert Top by Helens Closet. I've made this shirt before and it's brilliant, can't wait to add another one to my wardrobe!
